We're going to bring in the New Year in with a bang!

After my last moderately depressing post, about the hard times we are going through, this is going to be much more positive. After all it is Christmas time. With Christmas only 9 days away, I am trying too be happy and jolly. We bought our own christmas presents this year to make it easier on us, with the moving, the planning, and the busy times. Since we are going to stay with my mother in-law and be with her on christmas, up until Adalynn and I leave to go see my family for a while, we are having our own Christmas before hand. Getting our own gifts may not be as exciting, as giving gifts to eachother watching eachother unwrap them. Its the way to do it, with being so busy, I have about one week left, to pack up my house apartment, and get everything out. We havent really started, but we dont have a whole lot, that is the upside to all of this. Now we are working hard at making plans, figuring out what is best to do to fix our situation, and keep it fixed so we wont have to move again in a year. Now here pretty soon, we will have our car 100% paid off, woo hoo! Go us! Its very exciting to me, I may not drive it, but its more money in savings. Now, we are going to be working very hard at paying off everything. And on an even brighter note I get to see my family again! I have seen them more this past year then I have in a long time, I am going to miss Matt, and so is Adie, but we are going to visit family and have a good time with them. I am excited too see them, and when we come back, we will have money saved to get a place to live, I just hope that finding a place will be easy. So my goals for the new year is to get on good and stable financial path.  Unfortunate things can happen, but you can change the way things go in life if your attitude is more positive. I do have more goals, for me, however I will get into that in another post.

Hard Times, and positive thinking.

Right now, life is really challanging me. But what would life be if it wasnt challenging me. We moved into this beautiful new apartment a couple months ago. About a week ago, we find out they are raising our rent. And there is nothing we can do about it. And we can no longer afford to live here. BUMMER! so now, me and Adalynn must be seperated from Matt for a while. Me and her are going to visit my family, in pennsylvania for a while, so Matt can save up enough money and find us a new place to live. That was the hard times of it, christmas time, broke and having to move out ASAP. Okay, so the positive part now, the brightside, I get to see my family A LOT sooner than what I was thinking I was. YAY  I've missed them so much. This will give me and Matt some time apart, something I feel every relationship needs now and again. I think it willl be good for us to get some distance. Not that things are bad between us. We are good in fact. But you need surround your life with diversity, and be around all sorts of people. And its very hard for me to get out these days. Not just because I have a 2 year old, who I am trying to potty train, but because I live farther away from my friends and the family I have here. But with this move, after we get a place we will be closer to family. Hopefully this will be the last move for A LONG time. I say that everytime. But seriosusly, I hate moving, its time consuming and too much work. So when hard times come along like now for me. Try to stay positive, life goes by too quickly to be negative all the time.

Party Planning is exausting!

As Adalynn's party approaches, it feels like theres more and more to do. As my wonderful Grammy is coming to town for her birthday. I will see her Sunday, so not only do we have a birthday party I have family coming. So I am cleaning my apartment from top to bottom, baking cakes, traveling to my in-laws for the party, as well as my father in-laws halloween party. Its very busy weekend, so I am spending my friday night, packing, cleaning, doing laundry and baking. Its very exausting, I normally dont go to bed till 6 AM and here I am at 20 after 10 and I am exausted! Well I guess I better get back to work. I will post a blog post sometime this week of the party.

Moving!

Oh yeah, we are moving to a new apartment this weekend! I can finally use my washer again instead of the god awful coin laundry I am having to use now. I can't wait I am so excited. This place has everything I want in home. It reminds as far as what our home had when we lived in the military only better, from the inside it looks quite new. It has 1 1/2 car garage, we are on the second floor. And we are on the 2nd floor which isnt a big deal to me at all. It had new carpeting dark brown. I love dark carpeting because stains arent as noticable. It has two bedroom both have closets, the master bedroom has a walk in closet as well as its own bathroom, it has a beautiful kitchen with tons of counter and cabinet space, and little dinning area over to the side of the kitchen that is carpeted as well. And we can even get a pet! woo hoo! I have been wanting a kitten for sometime now, and now I have no housing restriction saying I cant. Its perfect place, with a perfect price for our family. I just hope we can own a home as beautiful as this place is one day. I would like thank my Grammy for helping me out on finding the perfect home for next few years. We hope 5 years or so down the road  we will be owning a new home.

Oh its fall!

I love this time of year, when the leaves change colors. You see pumpkins all around, and its finally boot season. I really love all my boots! Not only all that. But every year, I get excited about baking and redecorating. This year, we are hopefully moving into our new apartment. I am very excited to settle down. But we really dont have a lot of stuff to make it look homey. So I have been researching on how to make an apartment look homey. I am excited, I cant wait to get area rugs, hang up pictures, light candles, and of course get everythiing organized. It would make me feel very much relaxed and happy. And when  can finally bake a pie, cookies, cakes, or something that would make me happy. I love fall, or autumn as some poeple call it. There's so many fun things about it.

The natural way..

Today was my first trip to a cloth diaper store. They had a lot of natural parenting and just natural things.. It was neat, They had soaps, all natural toys, babywear things like moby wraps. It was pretty interesting to me. I dont really follow the natural parenting way, as far as disciplining or parenting in general. We do cloth diaper and I did breastfeed but thats about it. Something did catch my eye that I may have to go back for, and that is Mama Cloth, it interested me. It makes sense all in all.. if cloth is good enough for her, what about me? I dont think I could go all out on cloth and get Family Cloth, I could never touch something my husband, or any other guest wiped their butt with. But I could swing for reusuable cleaning towels and napkins, but reusable toilet unpaper and tissues grosses me out.. I guess thats where I draw the line. But the toys intrigued me too.. all natural wooden, it was all pretty nice in my opinion. We did get new fluff! We got six Chinesse Blue Edge Prefolds.  6 BumGenious 4.0 One Size, One FuzziBunz Perfect Size, medium size diaper, and a pair of babylegs...
This is what a prefold looks like before it is prepped...
 BabyLegs
BumGenious 4.0 OS in Blossom... The othe colors are Zinnia(darker pink),Bubble(light purple), Butternut(light yellow),Clementine(yellowish orange), grasshopper(light green)
FuzziBunz Perfect Size, Size medium in Grape

Why I love the fluff

Most people these days choose disposable diapers over cloth, they either dont know that cloth is still an option. Or they are too grossed out by it. The gross factor that people think about I just dont understand, some people are confused on what to do with the poop, well if you exclusively breastfeed all of it can be washed, because its water souluble. And if the baby eats adult food, formula, or baby food, then you simple get a diaper sprayer. You can even make them. Even with disposable diapers, you are still supposed shake off the excess in the toilet. You also use way less detergent, which all in all is a good thing. I am in love with cloth diapering, no chemicals, economical, cost efficent, and all the cute prints. Cloth diapering is making a come back. With todays economy, many moms are choosing cloth diapers to save money, the world today is so expensive, so why not cut cost as best you can. We love our fluff, and we would never go back to disposable diapers. If your child poops on their clothes do you throw the clothing away? No you just wash, so why not due the same with diapers, if you start using cloth when they are newborns you could save so much money. From Birth to Potty training in disposable diapers could cost up $5000. In cloth you could spend as little as $1500 a lot of cloth diapering momma have spent even less than that. I see the advantages of disposable, but cloth has even more. We love our fluff, lets make the world a greenier place and put fluff on all our baby's bottoms.

Hotel Living..

Its difficult being in between homes, so I find the comfort of an extended stay hotel pretty nice. Its got a nice little kitchen. But since we are not fully moved out of our old house, I have no dishes, so its gotten a bit complicated trying to cook dinner, We have paper plates and bowls, plastic eating utensils, but I have no spatuals, I have 2 pans and a pot. Its quite difficult, but I manage, but what is really difficult for me is washing our cloth diapers. I love cloth diapering, but I am about to wash cloth diapers by hand in the tub, we will see how this goes. Hopefully well, I forgot to get quarters while the desk was open, and $1.50 is a bit much to wash diaper if you ask me, for that price I could by sposies and be done with it, not counting drying the diapers, I love not buying sposies, but it is quite inconvient washing stuff by hand, hopefully we can find a good place soon.

Moving Forward...

Moving to a new home soon, not sure exactally where at, but hopfully soon. I have so many friends pregnant, and jealous of everyone on of them, I would love another baby. I think it would be amazing to have another child while Adie is still little so they can be close. But I have a few things in mind, before I do. So to moving forward, I would love to get my drivers liscense, so I am not so dependent on others. I would be thrilled for that. I could go places that I needed to or wanted too with out asking someone for a ride. I think as husband and wife, me and Matt need to own our own home. What a sense of accomplishment that would be. I would also love to atleast get my GED, so I could get a part time job if need be. There are little things, here and there..  like potty training Adie, go on a family vacation, stuff like that. But also paying off everything I owe. And getting paying off a new Toyota Seinna, my dream vehicle. But I decided to make myself a 5 year plan. I guess its a good thing I dont want to be in the exact same place in my life I am now, in 5 years.

 So by, September 30th 2016
I would like to achieve my goals of..
learning to drive
paying off everything I owe.
Owning a new Toyota Seinna.
Owning my own home.

Three Years

Yesterday was three years of being married to my wonderful husband. I can't believe we've married for three years already. Time is really flying by. Soon Adie will be two. It feels like yesterday we just met. I just want time to slow down, so I can enjoy the times I share with my young family now. Because before I know it, Adie will be all grown up and me and Matt will be old.

Living Comfortable vs Living Convenient

Think about, how many of us, who are in debt and struggle with bills all chose convenience over living more financially comfortable. I know its a lot of us. You would think, we would all make homecooked meals instead of eating fast food to save money. Fast food is expensive. I know a lot of us moms and dads stay at home now, because of the cost of daycare, well why dont we just work opposite shifts as our significant others. I know in some cases like mine its not that simple, with unpredictible times of when they could get off. Why dont more people coupon and shop sales to save? Or why dont more people cloth diaper instead of using disposables, you spend between $2000 and $5000 diapering a baby for the whole time their in disposables, when you could spend $1000 or less to cloth diaper a child, and this is per child. Why dont more women breastfeed, instead buying that expensive baby formula, or make their own babyfood. People like what is convenient. Convenient isnt whats always best, in fact most of the time its not. In todays world we are really fast paced. I think we all just need to slow down and take our time. Life passes us by, lets slow down and smell the roses.

Finally Summer.. A new goal

I am the worst blogger ever for not blogging for like a month, but anywho, I finally feel like it summer, and this season makes me want to lose weight, and get fit. Nothing wrong with being a little healthier. Me and Adalynn went on a nice little walk. Then I did crunches! then I was going to play Just Dance 2 that always gives me a run for my money, but since I couldn't, I just did some yoga. I have a goal, to lose 30lbs by my birthday August 22nd. If I eat more sensible and exercise more frequently, I think I can do it.

Photography, something new.

Well to me, Ive recently became interested in photography, I got interested in it, about 8 months ago, but gave up because I didn't understand it a lot of it, mostly editing. I gave up well over the past month or so, I was taking pictures of my daughter playing, and I liked the way the lighing looked, so Ive taken a bit of interest in it again. I'd love to take photography classes, or maybe read a book. I'd love to save up some money and get a nice DSLR camera, I'd love a Nikon. What do you think so far?

Easter Weekend..

Im posting this a bit late.. four days after easter. It was peaceful holiday for once.. every holiday it seems theres drama or someone getting angry, this one was quite peaceful, and enjoyable.. my husband had a 5-day weekend, friday we really just relaxed together as a family it was an enjoyable day. Saturday morning and early afternoon we spent the day cleaning the house, we had company coming which is very unusual for us. My mom, two of my brothers, and my brothers girlfriend came over for a nice easter visit. Later that night after everyone went home, we made a trip to walmart, to get some last minute things for easter. We all went home my daughter who is only 18 months old by the way, helped me  bake a German Chocolate cake as best as she could. Then came easter morning, we got up, got Adalynn up and showed her, her easter basket she was pretty excited to see it, we all got ready and headed out for my mother in laws for a nice peaceful dinner. Heres many pictures.. from Satuday till Easter Sunday.

A rare occasion indeed, rarely a picture with me two of my brothers and my husband in it, the visit was nice, I love seeing my brothers, even if I do look fat in this photo.

A really good picture of my older brother Jeff, my daughter Adalynn, and of course mom.

Another great picture of my brothers girlfriend Steph and Adalynn

my mom and daughter playing

HI!

The Easter bunnies can go to sleep now that the work is done.

Needless to say she loves her flower suckers and her musical bunny

She was happy to get her basket.

Then was getting a little impatient.

And now she was getting upset, all she wanted was to go see grandma

Playing with her cell phone at grandmas house

All smiles again, this is my current favorite picture of her, her eye look amazing!

Cupcakes Galore

I was watching cupcake wars last, I actually fell asleep watching, but I layed there last night and thought, those cupcakes look amazing! And then today, I thought it doesnt take talent to decorate cupcakes. It takes skill, and skill can be learned, and Im already good at baking. I'm also creative... so we went out and bought stuff to make cupcakes, nothing special but I took pics..

Just out of the oven!

Cooling so the whole neighborhood can smell them

Decorated some of them

All of them minus some that we ate.. mmm yummy!
